Louisiana High School Football - John Paul the Great Academy over Acadiana Christian

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the John Paul the Great Academy Guardians (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting Acadiana Christian Lions (New Iberia, LA), witnessed John Paul the Great Academy's football squad knock off Acadiana Christian by a tally of 46-26.

The Guardians (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Varsity Opponent (, ). The enter the contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Varsity Opponent gained a win over Pine Belt (Hattiesburg, MS), 20-16, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions battle the First Baptist Christian Eagles (Lafayette, LA) in a Christian Educators of Louisiana (8 Man) contest, on Thursday, August 14. Acadiana Christian will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 58-0 league win over Mount Olive Christian (Athens, LA).
