The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Hamilton Lions (Hamilton, MS) and the visiting Mooreville Troopers (Mooreville, MS), observed Hamilton's volleyball team overcome Mooreville by a tally of 3-1.

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Smithville (Smithville, MS). The Seminoles enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Smithville beat Mooreville (Mooreville, MS), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Troopers meet the North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 11. Mooreville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Nettleton (Nettleton, MS).
