In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Raleigh Lions volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Mendenhall Tigers.

The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Scott Central (Forest, MS). The Rebels enter the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Scott Central was tipped by Morton (Morton, MS), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars (Bassfield, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 12. Mendenhall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to McLaurin (Florence, MS).
