The Irwin County Indians softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane to 0 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Irwin County improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Indians travel to Echols County (Statenville, GA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 9. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Purple Hurricane clash with the Wilcox County Patriots (Rochelle, GA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, August 10. Fitzgerald will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 20-0 league win over Dooly County (Vienna, GA).
