In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Thomson Bulldogs (Thomson, GA) softball team held off the visiting Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, Thomson moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA) to play the Patriots in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 10. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 0-2. Oglethorpe County lost 8-4 in their recent non-league contest against Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA)

In their next game, the Gamecocks play the Evans Knights (Evans, GA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 9. Screven County will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record.
