The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA) and the visiting Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA), observed Walton's softball team get by Cherokee by a tally of 9-3.

The Raiders (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against North Paulding (Dallas, GA). The Wolfpack go into the 6A Region 5 bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, North Paulding tipped Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA), 8-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA) in a 6A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, August 13. Cherokee will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 9-0 league win over Etowah (Woodstock, GA).
