Morgan County Bulldogs (Madison, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 8-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Morgan County upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Bulldogs host Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league game on Thursday, August 15. The Wolverines enter the game with a record of 3-2.

The Purple Hurricanes now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Dacula for a non-league game on Saturday, August 10. Monroe Area will encounter a Falcons team coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Jackson County (Jefferson, GA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-0.
