In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Poplarville Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Columbia Wildcats.

The Hornets (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against South Jones (Ellisville, MS). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, South Jones beat Provine (Jackson, MS), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 12. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Pike (Summit, MS).
