The Starkville Academy Volunteers volleyball squad (Starkville, MS), dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Winston Academy Patriots (Louisville, MS)

With the win, Winston Academy improves its record to 8-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS) to meet the Patriots in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 12. The Patriots enter the contest with a record of 4-9. Heritage Academy lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against Pillow Academy (Greenwood, MS)

Next, the Volunteers meet the Tupelo Titans Titans (Tupelo, MS) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 14. Starkville Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Titans go into the battle with a 1-5 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Columbus Christian Academy (Steens, MS).
