The Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) volleyball overcame the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.
With the win, Draughn upgrades its record to 1-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Avery County (Newland, NC) to face the Vikings in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 6. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Avery County won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Rosman (Rosman, NC)
The Warhorses now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Mitchell for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 6. Owen will face a Mountaineers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-1.
