In Thursday's non-league contest, the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Cass Colonels (White, GA), by a margin of 10-2.

With the triumph, Pickens moves its record to 9-6 on the year. The Dragons travel to Gilmer (Ellijay, GA) to play the Bobcats in a 3A Region 7 contest on Thursday, September 8. The Bobcats come into the contest with a record of 4-7.

In their next game, the Colonels play the Dalton Catamounts (Dalton, GA) in a 5A Region 7 contest, on Tuesday, September 6. Cass will attempt to move on its 6-8 season record.
