The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets volleyball team (Bessemer City, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC)

The Warriors (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons enter the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Thomas Jefferson was dropped by Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Yellow Jackets meet the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Tuesday, September 6. Bessemer City will attempt to move on its 0-8 season record. The Ironmen enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).
