In Thursday's non-league game, the host Galena Grizzlies volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Carson Senators.

The Grizzlies now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yerington for a non-league game on Friday, September 2. Galena will meet a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lincoln County (Panaca, NV). The Lions record now stands at 5-1.

The Senators (7-4) will now prepare for their game against Reno (Reno, NV). The Huskies enter the 5A North game with a 3-7 record. In their last game, Reno was dropped by Faith Lutheran (Las Vegas, NV), 2-0, in a non-league game.
