The Coal City Coalers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Wilmington Wildcats to 0 in the Coalers league victory on Thursday.

The Coalers now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Chicago for a non-league game on Friday, September 2. Coal City will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 league win over South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.

The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Crete-Monee was dropped by Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
