The Monterey Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Coalfield Yellow Jackets to 1 in the Wildcats league victory on Thursday.

The Wildcats now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wartburg Central for a A District 3 game on Tuesday, September 6. Monterey will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Stone Memorial (Crossville, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.

The Yellow Jackets (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Greenback (Greenback, TN). The Cherokees enter the non-league game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Greenback dropped by Monterey (Monterey, TN), 3-0, in a league game.
