Illinois High School Volleyball - Meridian over Elverado

The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) and the visiting Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL), saw Meridian's volleyball squad beat Elverado by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Meridian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Cobden (Cobden, IL) to play the Appleknockers in a South Egyptian bout on Tuesday, September 6. The Appleknockers go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Cobden lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL)

The Falcons now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Murphysboro for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 3. Elverado will play a Red Devils squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-1.
