North Carolina High School Volleyball - Gray's Creek over Seventy-First

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) and the host Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), saw Gray's Creek's volleyball squad beat Seventy-First by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Gray's Creek upgrades its record to 8-0 on the year. The Bears host Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Eagles in a United Eight 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, September 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Douglas Byrd lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against South View (Hope Mills, NC)

The Falcons now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Cape Fear for a United Eight 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, September 6. Seventy-First will play a Colts squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Colts record now stands at 4-2.
