Georgia High School Volleyball - Mount Vernon can't hold off Riverwood

In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Riverwood Raiders volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Mount Vernon Mustangs.
The Raiders (11-10) will now prepare for their battle against Dunwoody (Dunwoody, GA). The Wildcats come into the 6A Area 4 battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Dunwoody was edged by North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the The Weber School Rams (Atlanta, GA) in a 1A Area 6 battle, on Tuesday, September 6. Mount Vernon will attempt to advance on its 8-11 season record. The Rams come into the battle with a 0-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Fellowship Christian (Roswell, GA).
