Alabama High School Football - Ariton topped by Highland Home

The Ariton Purple Cats football team (Ariton, AL), was beaten 35-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Highland Home Flying Squadron (Highland Home, AL)

The Flying Squadron (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Goshen (Goshen, AL). The Eagles come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Goshen achieved victory over Zion Chapel (Jack, AL), 36-9, in a non-league challenge.

The Purple Cats now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Geneva County for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, September 8. Ariton will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 37-0 non-league loss to Luverne (Luverne, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
