    The Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) football defeated the host Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH), 20-6 in Friday's non-league bout.

    In their next game, the Vikings face the Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Ohio bout, on Friday, September 8. Vinton County will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Marauders enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 48-42 non-league loss to Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH).
