In Saturday's non-league contest, the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE) softball team overwhelmed the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), by a margin of 15-5.
With the triumph, Lexington moves its record to 7-10 on the year. The Minutemen travel to St. Paul (St. Paul, NE) to play the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 10. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 9-3. St. Paul won 15-4 in their recent non-league contest against Centennial (Utica, NE)
In their next game, the Panthers play the Holyoke Dragons (Holyoke, CO) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 12. Hershey will attempt to move on its 2-12 season record. The Dragons come into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Rocky Ford (Rocky Ford, CO).
