The Deuel Cardinals held off the visiting Britton-Hecla Braves volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cardinals now have a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waverly/South Shore for a non-league test on Saturday, September 10. Deuel will confront a Coyotes team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Waubay/Summit (Waubay, SD). The Coyotes record now stands at 0-6.
The Braves (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD). The Panthers enter the non-league test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Great Plains Lutheran held off Wilmot (Wilmot, SD), 3-0, in a non-league test.
