In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Venice Gondoliers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Marquez Gladiators.
The Gondoliers (16-4) will now prepare for their battle against Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA). The Dolphins come into the non-league battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Palisades achieved victory over Malibu (Malibu, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Gladiators clash with the Malibu Sharks (Malibu, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 10. Marquez will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record. The Sharks come into the battle with a 3-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA).
