In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) volleyball squad edged the host River View Raiders (Bradshaw, WV), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Miners battle the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 10. Mingo Central will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 league win over River View (Bradshaw, WV).
