The Reed-Custer Comets held off the visiting Serena Huskers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Comets now have a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilmington for a Illinois Central Eight test on Tuesday, September 13. Reed-Custer will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-5.

The Huskers (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Streator (Streator, IL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 7-9 record. In their last test, Streator held off Plano (Plano, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
