Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN) and the visiting Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN), saw Union County's soccer squad hold off Gibbs by a count of 2-1.

The Patriots (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Anderson County (Clinton, TN). The Mavericks enter the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Anderson County was edged by Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN), 5-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Scott Highlanders (Huntsville, TN) in a AA District 4 battle, on Thursday, September 12. Gibbs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Highlanders enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, TN).
