In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Buffalo Gap Bison volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Nelson County Governors.

The Bison (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Green Hornets enter the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Wilson Memorial beat Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Governors meet the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Fighting Blues enter the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA).
