With the win, Nicholas County improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bluejackets travel to Bracken County (Brooksville, KY) to encounter the Polar Bears in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 11. The Polar Bears go into the battle with a record of 1-0.

The Wildcats now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magoffin County for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 12.
