The Griffins (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC). The Hurricanes enter the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Cape Hatteras by Camden County (Camden, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A bout, on Monday, September 16. Northeastern will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA).
