In Tuesday's league outing, the host South Eugene Axe soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 win over the Willamette Wolverines.

The Axe (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Cavemen enter the 6A Southwest outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Grants Pass tipped South Medford (Medford, OR), 2-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Wolverines confront the Roseburg Indians (Roseburg, OR) in a 6A Southwest outing, on Thursday, September 12. Willamette will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Indians enter the outing with a 1-1 record after their 4-1 league win over North Medford (Medford, OR).
