The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) and the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), observed Elbert County's softball team notch a victory over Oglethorpe County by a final score of 11-3.

The Blue Devils (7-9) will now prepare for their bout against Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA). The go into the 1A D-I Region 8 bout with a 3-6 record. In their last bout, Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy was routed by Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA), 6-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 8 bout, on Wednesday, September 11. Oglethorpe County will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 8-0 league loss to Banks County (Homer, GA).
