The Grove Ridgerunners softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Vinita Hornets to 7 in the Ridgerunners non-league win on Tuesday.

The Ridgerunners now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jay for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 12. Grove will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-5 league win over Locust Grove (Locust Grove, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Vinita moves to 4-13 on the season. The Hornets host Sequoyah (Claremore, OK) to confront the Eagles in a 4A District 7 battle on Thursday, September 12. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 4-21. Sequoyah lost 28-0 in their recent non-league battle against Sequoyah (Tahlequah, OK)
