The Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors triumphed over the visiting Tiftarea Academy Panthers softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors play the Westwood Wildcats (Camilla, GA) in a GIAA Class A & AA District 3 challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Southwest Georgia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 14-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Southland Academy (Americus, GA).

The Panthers (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Brookwood (Thomasville, GA). The Warriors enter the GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 3 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Brookwood overcame Valwood (Valdosta, GA), 10-9, in a league challenge.
