North Carolina High School Volleyball - Avery County Mountain Heritage

Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Mountain Heritage advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Cougars host Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to face the Mountaineers in a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Thursday, September 12. The Mountaineers go into the test with a record of 2-7. Mitchell won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC)

The Vikings now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison for a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Thursday, September 12. Avery County will face a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-5.
