In Tuesday's league outing, the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) volleyball team were victorious over the host Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA), by a tally of 3-0.

The Blue Devils now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to King William for a Tidewater outing on Thursday, September 12. Mathews will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Charles City drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to play the Royal Tigers in a Tidewater outing on Thursday, September 12. The Royal Tigers come into the outing with a record of 1-5. King & Queen Central lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against West Point (West Point, VA)
