In Tuesday's league match, the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) volleyball squad overcame the host Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Blackhawks battle the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a Foothills 2A match, on Thursday, September 12. West Wilkes will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 9-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC).
