The North Star Cougars soccer squad scored 5 points and held the host Chestnut Ridge Lions to 0 in the Cougars non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Cougars now hold a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Everett for a non-league bout on Monday, September 15. North Star will play a Warriors team coming off a 2-1 league win over Windber (Windber, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-0.
The Lions (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Somerset (Somerset, PA). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Somerset held off Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA), 4-0, in a non-league game.
