Rhode Island High School Soccer - Smithfield knocks off Pilgrim

In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting Smithfield Sentinels soccer squad scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Pilgrim Patriots.
With the triumph, Smithfield advances its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Sentinels host Scituate (North Scituate, RI) to clash with the Spartans in a Division 2 test on Saturday, September 13. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 1-3. Scituate 2-2 in their recent league test against Prout (Wakefield, RI)
The Patriots now have a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Mt. Hope for a Division 1 outing on Tuesday, September 16. Pilgrim will play a Huskies team coming off a 1-0 league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 3-2.
