Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) and the host Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), observed Halifax County's volleyball team top Appomattox County by a count of 2-0.

The Comets (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northern Durham (Durham, NC). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Northern Durham achieved victory over Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Raiders now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dan River for a battle on Thursday, September 11.
