The Cougars go into the test with a record of 5-0. Pulaski County won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA)

Next, the Buffaloes play the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) in a challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Floyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA).
