Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) and the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), observed Kingston's volleyball team hold off Newburgh Free Academy by a tally of 1-0.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Middie Bears go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Middletown was edged by Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Goldbacks now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Bush for a non-league test on Friday, September 12.
