In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Roxana Shells soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights.

The Shells (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Mater Dei got by Wesclin (Trenton, IL), 5-0, in a non-league test.

The Knights now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Maryville Christian for a Gateway Metro test on Thursday, September 11. Metro-East Lutheran will clash with a Lions team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Lions record now stands at 5-3.
