In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host New Bern Bears soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the North Lenoir Hawks.
The Bears (8-0) will now prepare for their outing against West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, West Carteret by Washington (Washington, NC), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Hawks clash with the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) in a Three Rivers 4A test, on Tuesday, September 16. North Lenoir will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Tarboro (Tarboro, NC).
