With the triumph, West Johnston advances its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Voyager Academy (Durham, NC) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 4-3. Voyager Academy won 3-2 in their recent league test against East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC)

The Vikings now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host South Johnston for a Carolina Pines 6A test on Monday, September 15. Union Pines will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-3.
