In Wednesday's league outing, the Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) softball team routed the visiting Eagle's Landing Eagles (McDonough, GA), by a margin of 19-0.
The Greyhounds now sport a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Locust Grove for a 4A Region 2 test on Thursday, September 11. Jones County will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-4 non-league win over Westlake (Atlanta, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-5.
The Eagles (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Hampton (Hampton, GA). The Hornets come into the 4A Region 2 outing with a 3-11 record. In their last outing, Hampton beat McDonough (McDonough, GA), 25-4, in a league outing.
