The Lumpkin County Indians softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Stephens County Indians to 3 in the Indians non-league win on Wednesday.

The Indians now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dawson County for a 3A Region 6 battle on Thursday, September 11. Lumpkin County will confront a Tigers team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-5.

The Indians (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against East Jackson (Commerce, GA). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, East Jackson by Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA), 18-0, in a league challenge.
