The Newcastle Racers routed the host Purcell Dragons softball team by a margin of 7-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Racers now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kiefer for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Newcastle will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Harrah (Harrah, OK). The Trojans record now stands at 21-5.

The Dragons (6-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Lone Grove (Lone Grove, OK). The Longhorns enter the non-league challenge with a 20-3 record. In their last challenge, Lone Grove edged Plainview (Ardmore, OK), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
