In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks softball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Truman Patriots.

The Roosters/Chicks (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Oak Grove (Oak Grove, MO). The Panthers go into the Class 3 District 14 match with a 7-1 record. In their last match, Oak Grove tipped Harrisonville (Harrisonville, MO), 11-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Park Hill Trojans (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 15. Truman will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Trojans come into the battle with a 4-2 record after their 14-1 league win over Oak Park (Kansas City, MO).
