Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Bisbee Pumas (Bisbee, AZ) and the visiting San Simon Longhorns (San Simon, AZ), observed Bisbee's volleyball team hold off San Simon by a count of 3-2.
The Pumas (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Benson (Benson, AZ). The Bobcats go into the 2A - South battle with a 4-1 record.
The Longhorns now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baboquivari for a 1A - South battle on Friday, September 12. San Simon will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind (Tucson, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 2-2.
