North Carolina High School Volleyball - West Lincoln can't hold off East Rutherford

September 10, 2025: Lincolnton, NC 28092

In Wednesday's non-league match, the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Bostic, NC) volleyball squad tipped the host West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

The Cavaliers now possess a 5-6 record. They play next when they host East Burke for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Thursday, September 11. East Rutherford will clash with a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Chase (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, West Lincoln drops to 5-6 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Burns (Lawndale, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A bout on Thursday, September 11. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 10-3. Burns lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)
